An attack can cause the same malfunctions as a failure. ThreatScope carries over your hazardous events and their severity to start a TARA analysis (ISO/SAE 21434).
Exposure and controllability, for their part, are not carried over: an attacker picks their moment, and can neutralise the driver's recourse. On the security side, they give way to attack feasibility.
